Modular homes also known as prefabricated homes are the most in demand homes in the real estate market today. Most of us just known about it recently, but the fact is, these homes have been built in the United States since the 1890's. Americans were of course, the first people to manufacture these type of homes and they have begun buying houses found In catalogs as soon as the shipping of materials from one state to another became possible. Therefore, these homes aren't really new.

The production of modular homes became very in demand right after the world war II. The government used it to lessen the demand for housing which developed because of the war. So this tells us that the idea of prefab homes is not a recent phenomenon. Even people from the past have seen the benefits that these homes are capable of giving. No wonder why today, even site-built homes are using some components which had already been built in modular factory system or in prefab home builder factories.

In the present times, a modular home or a prefab home is regarded by most people as a house which is built out of boxes. This is because they only see the construction when the sections or the boxes of home parts such as roofing and rooms (which are already built in the factory) being transported to the site and then assembled to become a house.

The advantages of a modern modular home

1. Over the passing of years, people have discovered the advantages that they can get with regards to modular homes. One is its speedy construction. Yes, modular homes are built more quickly. When compared to site-built, a notable difference is how quickly modular homes tend to be built.

2. Allows owners to make changes such as replacement of a section or additional of a section. This means that even if the home is already assembled on its site, an owner can replace and add some parts from his home. He can make whatever changes he wants.

3. Less complex building construction. Because of its less-complex method of construction, more and more people are choosing it over the other types of homes.
